Billing Rates – Water, Wastewater, and Sanitation

Effective November 1, 2013  
            
Water – Residential and Commercial

  • Minimum (includes 1000 gallons) per unit: $32.25
  • Next two thousand gallons (each 1000): $3.90/1000 gallons
  • Each 1000 gallons above three thousand: $3.25/1000 gallons
*Multi-family units charged 85% of the base charge on the 1st thousand gallons/ per unit.  Any consumption after the base charge remains the same as stated above.

Wastewater

Residential (based on water consumption)

  • Minimum (includes first 7000 gallons): $23.75
  • 7000 – 12000 gallons: $0.30/1000 gallons
  • 12001 – 17000 gallons: $0.30/1000 gallons
  • Over 17000 gallons: $0.20/1000 gallons
Commercial (based on water consumption)

  • Minimum (includes first 10000 gallons): $30.00
  • 10001 – 50000 gallons: $0.55/1000 gallons
  • 50001 – 100000 gallons: $20.40 + $0.45/1000 gallons
  • Over 100000 gallons: $30.35 + $0.40/1000 gallons
Sanitation

  • Residential, per housing unit: $29.00
  • Commercial
  • Minimum: $29.00
  • One Container, two pickups per week: $89.25
  • One Container, three pickups per week: $130.00
  • One Container, four pickups per week: $170.00
**Out of City Limits Rates are 225% of In-City Rates

* For service outside the city limits, users of city wastewater service shall pay two hundred twenty-five (225%) percent of the established rate for similar customers inside the city limits.

* Services and taps larger than 4-inch will be charged based on actual documented costs required for installation.

·Fees do not include any charges pertaining to asphalted or brick layered streets.  These charges will be added to the above fees and rates established by the City of Lamesa.

·Sewer tap fees are not charged by the City of Lamesa.  All sewer taps are performed by only licensed or certified plumbers and subject to their rates or charges.
