Police Communications Officer Police Department
The Lamesa Police Department is accepting applications for a Full Time Communications Officer. Responsible for answering all in-coming administrative and emergency 9-1-1 calls. Responsible for aiding and assisting Police Officers, Animal Control Officer, Firemen and all other Emergency and Support Units while in their field operations, by facilitating their communications, records and other information available through the Police Department. Must have computer skills, be willing to work shift schedules including nights. Work is typically performed in 12-hour shifts. High School Diploma or GED required.

Vehicle Maintenance Technician: Full time Vehicle Maintenance Technician. Repairs and maintains vehicles and heavy equipment. Tasks involve the exercise of independent judgment and the application of mechanical techniques, processes, and principles under the general supervision of the vehicle service supervisor. A valid Texas "C" driver’s license, preferably a CDL "B".
Maintenance Technician I: Full time Maintenance Technician I position. Performs a variety of semi – skilled and skilled technical and maintenance work in the operation, maintenance and repair of water treatment facilities, distribution systems and waste water systems.
Pumper/Maintenance Technician: Full time Pumper/Maintenance Technician. Performs a variety of semi-skilled maintenance work, and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water and sewer systems. Works under the general supervision of the Utility Director.
Wastewater Service Technician : Full Time Wastewater Service Technician. Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technician and maintenance work in the operations, maintenance and repair of the Waste Water treatment facilities and systems.
The City of Lamesa Water Department is accepting applications for a full time Meter Reader position. Traverses assigned routes with AMR meter reading system that electronically inputs meter readings to provide needed information for utility billings or other related action; Assists in the maintenance and repair of meters; replaces defective meters; tests meters for accuracy. Must be willing to work overtime when required. Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technical and maintenance work in the operation.
Heavy Equipment Operator: Full time Heavy Equipment Operator. Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work, and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of streets. A valid State Driver's license and CDL certification class B.
